The Somerset Lake HOA has a social, wine tasting club, named Wine-Over-Water, that meets the second Friday of each month starting at 7:00 pm until about 9:00 pm.  We meet at the Clubhouse and occasionally at a home.  Each month has a theme such as wine type or origin.  People then bring a bottle to share providing the opportunity to taste different wines throughout the evening.  I really enjoyed tasting wines from Spain, Australia and South America.  I learned that a variety of good wine is made in Pennsylvania.  This past October we brought bottles in Halloween costumes, as shown in the photograph.  Many also bring a snack to share, although this isn’t required.  If wine isn’t your beverage you are invited partake of the social aspects with your own refreshment.  There are no fees or obligations associated with participation; although, if we take a field trip to a local winery each would be responsible for his/her own purchase.
